1. Introduction


These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Polished Oak Cleaners, an Auburn/Opelika-based cleaning company. By scheduling or receiving service, the Client agrees to these Terms.


2. Scheduling & Access


• Cleanings must be booked via our website, email, or by phone.

• Client must provide access to the property at the scheduled time, whether in person, via a key, or through a lockbox code.

• Failure to provide access may result in cancellation charges of up to the full service amount.


First-Time Cleaning Policy


To ensure the best results, all first-time or one-time cleanings require a deep clean. This allows our team to bring your space up to our Polished Oak standard and prepare it for efficient recurring maintenance.

After the initial deep clean, clients may continue with standard recurring service at a lower cost and faster pace.


3. Pricing & Payment


• All prices are estimated based on information provided at booking. If additional time or services are required, you will be contacted for approval before proceeding.Service fees are quoted per job via the 60‑second online quote tool or custom estimates.

• One‑off jobs must be paid in full via credit card or bank transfer prior to service.

• Recurring cleaning (if offered): billed monthly in advance via automatic payment method, continuing until cancellation with notice.


4. Cancellations & Reschedules


24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

• Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in termination of service eligibility.


5. Cleaning Scope & Exclusions


We do not provide:

• Hoarding, biohazard, or mold remediation services

• Moving of heavy furniture or appliances

• Cleaning of exterior windows, gutters, or roofs

• Pest removal

• Cleaning human or pet bodily fluids or waste beyond basic sanitization


If such conditions are found upon arrival, we reserve the right to cancel service, and the full fee may still be charged.


6. Client Responsibilities 


• For safety, pets must be secured during service.

• The Client must remove all personal belongings and fragile items from cleaning areas beforehand  


7. Damage & Breakage Policy


• We treat your home with care. In the rare event that accidental damage occurs, report it within 48 hours.

• Polished Oak Cleaners is bonded and insured. However, liability is limited to the replacement value, subject to depreciation.

• We are not responsible for damage due to unstable fixtures, pre-existing conditions, or faulty installations.


8. Satisfaction Guarantee


We stand by our Polished Promise. If you are dissatisfied, notify us within 24 hours, and we will return to re-clean the area at no extra charge.

This guarantee does not apply to properties left in poor condition beyond reasonable expectations (e.g., post-party or extreme neglect cleanups).


9. Right to Refuse Service


We reserve the right to refuse service for reasons including unsafe working conditions, harassment, sexual or verbal misconduct, the presence of illegal substances, or unreasonable client demands.

Clients exhibiting inappropriate behavior may be permanently barred from future services.


10. Privacy & Security


Client information is kept confidential. Keys, alarm codes, and any property access tools are handled with strict care and never labeled with identifying information.


11. Recurring Service Policies



• Recurring discounts apply only when services are performed continuously (weekly, biweekly, or monthly).

• Skipped cleanings may result in price adjustments to reflect longer gaps between visits.


12. Force Majeure


Polished Oak Cleaners is not liable for failure to perform services due to conditions beyond our control (e.g., weather, illness, power outages, etc.).


13. Modifications


We may update these Terms periodically. Clients will be notified via email or the website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
